What's up! We're an indie-rock band from Virginia called The 5:55 (pronounced THE-FIVE-FIFTY-FIVE). We started the band while attending Virginia Tech and Radford University. Collin Steves (singer) was performing acoustically for sororities on campus until they asked him to perform with a full band. So The 5:55 was born with Kevin Goldman on lead guitar and Ryan Steves on drums. Fraternity and sorority shows started coming in hot and before we knew it, we were booked for the whole year.

We then got linked up with producer Austin Bello who was the bassist/singer/songwriter for the band Forever The Sickest Kids. The first song we worked on together was "Slow Down" which you can watch above. We released a 5 song EP and got back on the road. Show highlights consisted of opening for a wide range of artists including Jesse McCartney, Sammy Adams, Taboo from the Black Eyed Peas, and more

AWAL became our distributor so we got back in the studio with Bello and put out 5 more songs. "Want More Of It" got on an official Spotify playlist and Let It Out ended up on the Showtime show, Shameless (Season 11, Episode 9). The band then connected with producer Matt Squire (Panic! At The Disco, Ariana Grande, Underoath, etc...) for the recording of their debut album, "FocusMoron"
