The 5:55 (pronounced THE-FIVE-FIFTY-FIVE) is an indie rock band from Washington D.C. They have shared the stage with Jesse McCartney, Black Eyed Peas, Buckcherry, Chelsea Cutler, and performed at an Imagine Dragons concert. Some of the many venues they've performed at include Jiffy Lube Live, House Of Blues, The National, Union Square Park (NYC Earth Day Fest), PIANOS NYC, DC9, Baltimore Soundstage, Seacrets, Whitlow's On Wilson, Joe Mama's, and Clarendon Grill. Some of the universities where they've performed include Virginia Tech, Maryland University, Auburn University, University Of Tennessee, University Of Virginia, and others.
The band is comprised of musicians Collin Steves (Vocalist/Guitarist), Kevin Goldman (Lead Guitarist), Max Biskup (Bassist), and Ryan Steves (Drummer/Vocalist). The musicians formed The 5:55 while attending college at Radford University and Virginia Tech. Due to the lack of local music venues the band looked to fraternities and sororities for performance opportunities. The overwhelmingly positive response to the band’s high energy “rocked up pop” sets helped them expand to other universities. They now call Washington D.C. home while performing up and down the East Coast.
